Ok I know I havn't really been on even though I -just- promised I would be! Ugh! I've been pretty busy though! I had a test to get ready for and I've been going to the barn a lot. And working. Though not as much as I'd like :/

I'm looking for another job on top of the one I have now...Gas is killing me and since I bought myself a truck last week...I'm gonna need some extra dough. See, I learned to drive in my stepdad's '97 land cruiser and it's what I've been driving for the past year after getting my license. Unfortunately, Land Cruisers of that age don't get the greatest gas mileage...about 14 mpg. Add to that the fact that it's lifted and has off-road tires, and a big fat heavy steel bumper and sliders and all that shindig...yeah...doesn't exactly help. We estimate that it actually gets about 12mpg...not the greatest when you're already broke and gas is at 4 dollars a gallon!

So...I decided the best thing would be for me to buy a truck with better gas mileage. This way, paying less for gas and the truck payments would (sort of) balance out...and that way I'd end up with my own vehicle instead of just putting money into one that's not mine and never will be. Smart eh? So anyway I was able to get a 2000 4runner for 6,300. It's basically a smaller land cruiser and I really like it. I took it off road last weekend and it did great! It supposedly gets about 21 mpg and lemme tell you from driving it the past week and a half...big difference! Hopefully I can scrape up some extra money and put a lift on it soon

Except I'm not getting enough hours at work even to pay for gas. Ugh! So the job hunt will begin tomorrow. Wish me luck!
